The history of Rev
We’re only a baby church, really – still just putting our roots down!
It’s been a very blessed few years, reaping where we haven’t sown. We started in September 2006 as a house church and 6 months later we started meeting in a school. For a while we were 2 congregations – 1 morning and 1 evening but now we just all meet together on a Sunday afternoon where we sing spiritual songs, listen to God’s word, break bread and encourage each other.
Day to day we have recently formed into Gospel Communities – team-led gatherings around a particular outreach – everything from particular estates to particular interests or particular kinds of people.
Within those Gospel Communities we meet in tiny ‘2s and 3s’ to strengthen one another and stay sharp. It’s our way of trying to copy the early church, who were absolutely devoted to each other, God’s word, praying and breaking bread.
