What are ‘tens’?! We got the concept from Exodus 18, where Moses was getting overloaded caring for too many people, and his father-in-law suggested he ask godly men to look after groups of thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens. At this stage Rev church doesn’t have enough for groups of thousands, hundreds or fifties (give us time!), but we do have enough for groups of tens, so we have asked some top Rev people to look after ten people each just to make sure everyone’s getting cared for, connected in to church and keeping in the loop of what’s going on. A ‘ten’ is not a small group and they may never even meet together as a group, but being in a ten just means that you have someone trustworthy you know that you can go to for help, prayer or advice. So what about getting together with other people – how does that happen? There’s bags of social stuff, interest groups and things that happen – your ten leader will help you get into the loop of that.
