What are your meetings like?
We put a lot into making sure our meetings are accessible to everyone, whether you come every week, or you’ve never been to church before.
Our style is definitely informal, but we’re totally serious about loving and praising Jesus. When we sing and praise together, it gets pretty lively. After all, people go wild at a football match or a gig, so shouldn’t we get much more animated in our praise of the creator of the universe!
Scripture gives us an amazing range of ways to praise God – singing, making music, shouting, being quiet, dancing, kneeling and more. As long as Jesus is at the centre, it’s all good with us.
Who leads the meeting?
The simple answer is, God.
Although it’s great to have musicians, God the Holy Spirit leads our meetings. How? We believe that all the spiritual gifts mentioned in scripture are for us today. And the Holy Spirit inspires us to contribute our gifts.
That might mean bringing a scripture that’s encouraged you, sharing a picture that God’s given you for someone else, having faith to pray for healing and lots more.
If you’re not used to church or church like this, just feel free to sit and watch or join in with the singing or whatever’s most comfortable for you. Most of all, expect God to speak to you.
