Maiden Lane

For over two years members from Revelation Church made their way to Maiden Lane Estate on Friday nights for youth outreach.
They played with the kids who showed up to meet them, talked with them, prayed with them and slowly built up relationships with them and others in the community.
So when Gospel Communities were launched, it made sense to base one in the estate and continue to build on what had already begun!
So... What do we do?
Now that we are a gospel community we are focusing upon building up strong friendships with each other. We have meals together, as well as worship and prayer times together. We still go out every Friday night and usually end up playing football, sharing testimonies and seeing unlikely but exciting opportunities to pray and talk with all sorts of people on the estate.
Alongside this, we are learning about prayer so that we can begin to soak our efforts in it - because we know that we need God to move for anything to happen!
The Vision
We already know quite a number of the youth on the estate, but there are families and teenagers who still remain behind closed doors. We believe that God can break in and we will get to know parents, grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles... and see entire families come to know Jesus. A number of us are also looking to move onto the estate so that our neighbours in the spiritual sense come to be neighbours in the physical sense as well.
